"The 2006 convention was hosted at beautiful Western Washington University. The university is located between Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains, just outside of downtown Bellingham. Built with nature and beauty in mind this was a stunning backdrop for the 2006 NSS Convention.

Situated between Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, British Columbia, the spectacular natural environment of this region stretches from the San Juan Islands to Mt. Baker. Bellingham area and community offers recreational experiences from the relaxing to the exhilarating."

With cave trips, salons, sessions, vendors, and activies, the 2006 convention was awesome!

Mount St. Helens Pre-Convention CampoutPrince Albert Cave

(August 3-6, 2006)

On the weekend prior to the NSS convention, the Oregon Grotto hosted a campout on Mount St. Helens. This was primitive camping (no water or toilets), walking distance from caves and right at the base of a continuously erupting volcano. We camped Thurs, Fri and Sat nights with trips led on Fri, Sat and Sun. It was a great campout! Click here for more information.
