SADDLE BUTTE CAVES

June 13 - 16: (Thursday - Sunday) Saddle Butte –Leaders Matt Skeels and Brent McGregor. This cluster of caves located in Eastern is a series of wonderful ancient caves that offers a wide variety of caving (about everything except water passages).There are opportunities for every caving level. Vertical, walking, crawling…you name it! Plus there are beautiful desert sunsets, wild horses and lots of other wildlife!

MCKENZIE PITS

June 29: (Saturday) McKenzie Pits – Leader Eddy Cartaya. Located just west of Santiam Pass, a series of vertical pits (Among Oregon's deepest) all requiring vertical gear and the knowledge to use it. Chances are all the pits will be rigged to allow several cavers access throughout the day.

SAND MOUNTAIN CHIMNEYS

June 30: (Sunday) Sand Mountain Chimneys –Leader Sam Loomis. Two OVC's (open vertical conduits) side by side. About a two mile hike in, vertical gear and knowledge to use it required. Deepest pit is a 100' drop hence the name ‘Century Pit’.

2013 TROUT LAKE REGIONALS

The Willamette Valley Grotto will be hosting the Northwestern and the Western Regional in 2013. This will be a combined event at the Trailhead Bed and Breakfast in Trout Lake, Washington, and will be held over the Labor Day weekend Aug. 30 - Sep. 2.
